Announcement Bar
The Announcement Bar in the Nexus theme is a sleek and effective way to share important updates with your customers. Located at the very top of your store, it’s ideal for highlighting promotions, shipping info, or special announcements. You can easily enable, customize, or reposition it using the theme editor—keeping your customers informed without interrupting their shopping experience.
How to Configure the Announcement Bar
- From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
- Click Customize on the Nexus theme.
- In the Theme Editor, select the Announcement section from the left sidebar.
- Adjust the settings, blocks, and layout options according to your preferences.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
How to Configure the Announcement Bar Settings
- Color Scheme: Select a color scheme for the announcement bar to ensure it complements your store's branding.
- End date (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM): Specify the target date and time for your announcement, which is especially useful for time-sensitive promotions.
- Announcement text: Enter the text message you wish to display (e.g., "Free Shipping On All U.S Order $100").
- Show countdown: Toggle this option to display a dynamic countdown timer that counts down to the specified end date.
- Show localization: Enable this to show language or currency selectors if you have multi-language or multi-currency support enabled.
- Show social icons: Enable this to display your linked social media icons directly within the announcement bar.

Desktop padding:
- Padding top: Adjust the vertical spacing at the top for desktop screens.
- Padding bottom: Adjust the vertical spacing at the bottom for desktop screens.

- Padding top (mobile): Customize the top spacing specifically for mobile layouts.
